Time To Start The ...GARDEN

I have started my flower garden and I hope to get lots of bouquets this spring and summer. I also decided to go with bulbs because my hubby does not have time to dig all my holes and they end up sittin... so I bought a bunch I could plant myself.

THESE ARE SOME WILD FLOWERS ON THE FARM ......THEY ARE SO PRETTY I THOUGHT I WOULD TAKE THEIR PICTURE !!!!

I grew up with a garden and I have dabbled over the years but this year I plan to get serious...So Im prepairing myself... I have had it with the prices of vegtables and I use a ton of herbs in my cooking ... I am new at planting herbs too!

KITCHEN 3RD WEEK

This week we found ourselves getting burn - out and the slow pace is getting to us....but we forged on and finished our island except for tile and one leg lol but it is comming along, this week we just had to buy more plywood and cement board and some trim we finished installing our oven its facing the frig which is a little too close but we had to hide the floor( missing piece) we only had a couple of pieces to fix the whole as we cannot find the same flooring. Our biggest problem is what color grout to use on our backsplash white grey or dark brown.....we want it to look old so we shall see. I am happy so far but ready to have it done the weather was too nice to be inside this weekend. Ro

KITCHEN 2nd week

Well we spent 450.00 on unfinished cabinets for our island this payday and 300.00 on a new oven off craigs list...gotta love craigs list ! last week. oh and I also bought my sink this weekend...
So for alot of impact we have spent very little money so far and we don't plan to spend alot on this project. we spent 200.00 on marble tiles for our bar and counter that we moved. we puchased the tiles the beadboard and the wonderboard grout and mortor last weekend. This weekend we plan to tile and stain the cabinets for the Island and frame in for our oven and then put the plywood on and the wonderboard on the island. next week we hope to order more tile. Hopefully this weekend was our biggest expense for this project. I will post pics later. so I can do before and after. Ro

Kichen Sink

OUR KITCHEN

OUR KITCHEN .... is the first project on the house. When we purchased the house it had been on the market for quite some time and it was apparent why for two reasons I believe. One, the kitchen is attached to a living room that was at the back of the house and was almost like walking into a surprise room although nice size it was like it had been added onto. As you walked into the kitchen from the dinning area through a regular doorway, and then surprise wow ppl would say this is nice but when you walk into the house it looks so small because all you see is this family room and dinning room. Plus the refrigerator was standing alone on the wall between the dinning room and kitchen as an after thought i guess). The second reason was because there is a deck off the back of the house overlooking the property and the stairs are very precarious. I could see past this however and new they were easy fixes.
So we have no money and no time my husband works out of town and is home thurs evenings fri sat and sun. so with no budget we took out a wall made it a half wall and swung the excisting cabinets around to set against the wall here are some pics.....Ro

OUR DUCKS

When we bought our home on 31/2 acres in northern ca I wanted a farmhouse with a wrap around porch and ducks and chickens so they were our first addition to the farm outside of our 4 cats and 3 dogs! well everyone has to have a pet in the family lol Ro
